Triple Hope Campaign

More on the campaign:

We need teachers and other leaders to mobilize groups of young people whose objective is to learn about the struggle to go to school in Sub-Saharan Africa; and make a fundraising action to support disadvantaged African kids and youth through school.

This campaign has been made possible by the Karen and Fred Green Fund of the Vancouver Foundation who is tripling the fundraising of young Canadians who promote and learn about Education Is Power until the end of 2016.

Education Is Power in brief:

Since 2008, Education Is Power (EIP) has been working through 100% volunteer efforts to enable over 80 young Kenyans and Tanzanians through school while providing extra curricular programming and mentorship. Through increasing access to effective education, EIP strives to empower disadvantaged African youth to become Africa’s future leaders. We are a registered Canadian charity formally known as the East Africa Education Trust. We need your help to continue supporting our benefiting students!

“You have inspired us to care about the world outside our happy Vancouver bubble. You have also shown us that with hard work, dedication and passion we can actually make a difference.”

“With Education Is Power, the students feel that the charity is small enough and lean enough that they can see the impact of every dollar they send. For instance, the students had a Skype call with two Kenyan students last spring, and have never had such direct contact with recipients of other charitable donations to larger organizations.”

“Through Education Is Power, we’re sending people to school whose families can’t afford for them to go. Education is a great part of life; everyone should have it.”

– Ally, Haley, Ruby, Dominic – Grade 5 Students at Lakewood Elementary, Victoria BC

As the campaign gets started regular EIP donors will be able triple their donation by supporting the efforts of young Canadians involved in the campaign. Please sign up above to receive campaign updates or to get a group involved.
